Jeans For Tall Skinny Kids
Long and Skinny Toddler Boy Pants
My 3 year old is super thin and tall. Off the charts tall. I am struggling to find pants that are long enough. He is very prepared for a flood on the daily. We've moved up to 4T sizing, but the waists are so large on him. Anyone have luck with specific brands for pants for long skinny boys? Specifically interested in jogger/basketball type comfy pants, but definitely open to other types! Thank you so much! The struggle is real!

I have the same issue with my 3 year old son. Summer has been great because he can just rock his size 12 month shorts!
For pants, we've had good luck with Old Navy's Karate Skinny jeans. They have a very slim fit and an adjustable waistband. I haven't had any luck finding joggers, but these jeans have a lot of stretch in them, so they seem to be pretty comfy. My son wears them pretty much every day and hasn't ever complained.

Oddly consider looking at some of the girls clothes, for things like jeans etc. they are often far smaller on the waist.

Yes, Carter's girls leggings are definitely long and skinny!

I like Wrangler jeans with there elastic inner tabs to adjust the waist, and Ella's wool tubes (knit to be thick, warm and LONG, can be cuffed at the bottom) - sold on Amazon. Not cheap but will last FOREVER and made in the US. And girls leggings in black and grey.

We had good luck for our tall skinny with Zara Kids and H&M

I second H&M! They're always long!

I have a skinny 3 yr old, but he is average height so not sure if they will work for you, but I've lately found Nike pants to fit great! Also, in Canada, there is a brand called Joe Fresh that I find works well for skinnier kids.

My little one too. We mostly buy from old navy but still have this issue.
What Ive been doing is using thick heavy weight thread and sewing the waist smaller in a way that is easy to remove later. It takes less than 2 min. I pinch it, normally at the small of his back, about an inch and sew a big X.

Old Navy? Some I buy will barely fit my thick-legged kids.

Under armour pants normally at least stay up on my son when we size up for length. His Nike ones stay up, but just barely. He has Levi's jeans that have the elastic inside to adjust and they fit well. He's got long legs and no waist.

I loved the Gymboree skinny stretch ones. Had I realized what a PITA it would be to find something else like it, I would have bought every damn size the store had up to the largest size for my twin boys. The children's place are kind of close but not the same. The skinnest of my twin boys (two pins weight difference) has mastered the art of running while holding the waist band of his pants. You may be able to find some used Gymboree like our favs. They sure held up better than any other brand we've used before or since with twice the wear and tear yet looked brand new.

Skinniest dude ever over here. Have had luck with girls skinny stretch jeans from Carters! They make them that don't have any glitter on or anything which is refreshing. My kid is super long and thin.

H&M! They're long, so you can size down. Check them out in store though. Some of their boy sweat pants have more defined waists (and do not fit my chubby boy) but others are looser and fit my kid.

I found Target's house brand (Cat and Jack?) to be on the longer/smaller waist size in the size up. So when my son was 2, their 3T stayed on, whereas 3T Gap, Gymboree, Boden, Hanna Andersson, Jcrew we're all too loose at the waist. You can usually compare measurements in their size guides.
